Shrink film tube is made in a tubular form. The product group is placed inside the film and passed through a heat tunnel. The film shrinks to the product’s shape and holds the group tightly together.

It is one of the most common ways to bundle products in the beverage, food and cosmetics industries. We set the width and thickness to suit your product dimensions and machine.

Which products is shrink film tube used to package?

Bottle multipacks and beverage packaging film

For businesses looking for bottle packaging film or shrink packaging film, tube form can be used to pack several bottles together. The number of bottles, pack dimensions, total weight and shrink equipment used all affect film selection. This is outer group packaging; suitability for direct food contact requires separate confirmation.

Cans, cartons and promotional packs

When presenting cans or cartons together, the pack circumference and sealing method determine the tube dimensions. If printing is required, the design should also be assessed in a trial after shrinkage. For a quote, share a photo of the pack, its dimensions and your packaging equipment.

Pallet shrink hoods

For pallet shrink film, provide the pallet width, length and load height, together with the heating method to be used. For heat-sensitive products, assess the effect of the packaging process on the product separately. For wrapping by stretching without heat, stretch film is another solution; for large surfaces, see shrink film sheet.

Pack circumference and sealing allowance for tube sizing

For a simple rectangular pack with a width of 20 cm and a depth of 15 cm, the circumference is 2 × (20 + 15) = 70 cm. The geometric starting point for the flat tube width is 70 / 2 = 35 cm. These are illustrative example dimensions; they are not order dimensions until allowances for product placement, sealing and application have been added. Film thickness and shrinkage should be assessed in a trial using your equipment.

Questions

Frequently asked questions about Shrink Film Tube

What is shrink film tube and how is it used?

Shrink film tube is LDPE film made in a tubular (sleeve) form. The product group is placed inside the film, which is cut and sealed, then heated in a shrink tunnel, an L-sealer or with a heat gun. The film shrinks to the shape of the products and holds the group tightly together. Water and beverage bottles, cans, cartons and promotional packs are the most common uses.

What is the difference between shrink film and stretch film?

Stretch film wraps by stretching and clinging to itself; it needs no heat and is mostly used on pallets. Shrink film is placed over the product and shrinks around it when heated. This gives a tighter, neater and clearer finish and better protection against dust, moisture and tampering. If product grouping and shelf appearance matter, shrink film is the right choice.

What is the difference between tube and half-tube shrink film?

Tube shrink film is a sleeve closed on both edges; the product group is placed inside it. Half-tube shrink film is folded in the middle and open on one edge; the product is placed between the two layers and the open edges are sealed. Which one suits you depends on your machine and product size; we make both to order.

What thickness of shrink film tube do I need?

We make shrink film in thicknesses from 20–200 microns, to order; the choice depends on the weight of the product group. As a general guide, 30–40 microns suits light carton and cosmetics groups, 40–50 microns suits cans and medium-weight groups, and 50–80 microns suits heavy groups such as six-packs of water and beverage bottles. Tell us about your product and machine and we will choose the right thickness together.

What machine do I need for shrink film?

Shrink film needs heat to shrink. A heat gun is enough for small runs; for regular production, an L-sealer or shrink tunnel is used. The film width and thickness are chosen to suit your machine; share its model and we will recommend the right film.

Can shrink film tube be printed?

Yes, printing is available to order. Your logo, product information or campaign message can be printed on the shrink film. The artwork is prepared with the film’s heat shrinkage in mind. Besides clear film, white and coloured options are available; printed shrink film promotes the product group on the shelf without the need for an extra carton.

What affects the price of shrink film tube?

The price depends on film thickness, width (tube size), colour, printing and order quantity. A width that fits your product group exactly reduces waste and film consumption. Share your product dimensions and monthly pack count, and we will prepare a tailored quote.

What information do you need to quote for shrink film tube?

Just tell us the size of the products you are grouping and how many go in each pack (for example, a six-pack of bottles), the machine or heat method you use, your colour and printing requirements, and your monthly pack count. If you want printing, attach your logo and artwork.

How long does delivery take for shrink film tube?

We make every order to your specifications and deliver to all 81 provinces of Türkiye; the total time from order confirmation to delivery is 2–7 days. The delivery method and transit time for your province are listed in the table on our delivery page; for international orders, we set the method and timing in the quote.

Is there a minimum order for shrink film tube?

No, there is no minimum order. Because we make every order to your requirements, you can place a small trial order or buy wholesale on a regular basis.
